CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (April 21, 2006) --Vertical
Communications (VRCC.OB), a leading provider
of next-generation, IP-based phone systems
and voice applications that help businesses
better serve their customers, today announced
that it has changed its ticker symbol
from “ASFT.OB” to “VRCC.OB” in
tandem with officially changing its name
to Vertical Communications. The company
had previously been named Artisoft Inc.,
doing business as Vertical Communications.
The company’s common shares will
begin trading under this new ticker symbol
immediately.
Vertical was formed through the combination
of three industry-leading companies.
In September 2004, Artisoft Inc. acquired
Vertical Networks Inc. to form Vertical
Communications, which then acquired
Comdial Corporation in September 2005.
The company’s Vertical InstantOffice,
Vertical TeleVantage and Vertical Comdial
product lines serve the needs of a
wide range of customers – from
small and medium-sized businesses to
large, distributed enterprises – and
have won numerous awards in their respective
categories.
With a current installed base of more
than 400,000 customers, Vertical is
